WEK Shows its Support for Pink October

It was a sea of pink at school today as students and staff dressed in a variety of shades of pink to celebrate Pink Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 

The morning kicked off with a refreshing walk alongside our students to show our solidarity. The school also held a Pink Day Sale where a host of items were sold in front of the main reception, such as pink ribbons, pink T-shirts, tote bags, water bottles, mugs, journals, pens, and bracelets.  Thanks to our wonderful WEK community, we sold out of many items. We raised more than AED 8,000 which was donated to the Al Jalila Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to transforming lives through medical research, education and treatment in the UAE.

Many thanks to everyone who made a donation or purchased something at our Pink Day Sale and helped to make Pink Day such a success! A special thanks to the Social Enterprise Leadership Team for taking charge of the event and running the show. They did a fabulous job!
