GEMS Wellington Academy, Al Khail offers Vibrant and creative learning environment

GEMS Wellington Academy - Al Khail (WEK) follows the British National Curriculum. In Foundation Stage we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. In Key Stage 1-3 (Year 1 - 9) our Academy Curriculum is based on the British National Curriculum with adaptations to contextualise learning within our international setting. At Key Stage 4 (Year 10 & Year 11) a wide range of GCSE & IGCSE courses are being delivered. WEK delivers the Ministry of Education’s curriculum for Islamic Education and Arabic Studies and Social Studies.

The National Curriculum for England (NCfE) is based on a comprehensive framework that outlines expected levels of achievement and attainment through all stages of a student’s school life. The National Curriculum for England is taught in 150 countries across the world and recognised as an academically rigorous curriculum by universities worldwide. The curriculum develops specific skills and competencies but also emphasises critical thinking, enquiry, creativity, planning and other skills needed to meet the challenges of a changing world. The National Curriculum for England is based on a structured and broad framework that outlines expected levels of achievement for the duration of the student’s education.
